The PolyCore TPU-2000 pellets by Polymaker are a material with a Shore hardness of 95 A. They were developed specially for MAAM (Middle Area Additive Manufacturing).

TPU, or Thermoplastic Polyurethane, is a versatile and popular material for 3D printing. Known for its flexibility and durability, TPU offers a unique combination of properties that make it ideal for producing flexible and rubbery parts. It has excellent layer adhesion, making it easy to print with minimal warping.

TPU is resistant to abrasion and chemicals, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, including custom gaskets and seals, commodity articles such footwear, and even prosthetics. TPU's ability to withstand repeated bending and stretching, along with its low friction coefficient, makes TPU an excellent choice for creating functional, impact-absorbing, and wearable 3D-printed items.

Other Comments

  • It is recommended to stop feeding and continue extruding until the extruder is fully empty if printing stops for a short term (10-30 min).
  • If the printing stops for a long term (several hours), stop feeding and continue extruding until the extruder is fully empty, then use polyethylene (PE) to clean the extruder. This helps prevent material carbonization and keeps the extruder in good condition.
